We had a fantastic time at Karoo View Cottages. Howard, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. The view from our room was breathtaking, and the room itself was cozy and well-equipped. The indoor fireplace made our winter stay incredibly comfortable, along with the electric blankets and bathroom heater. We loved sitting under the stars by the fire, enjoying a complimentary sherry before a peaceful night's sleep. The attention to detail in the room, from the breakfast provisions to the matches for the fire, was impressive. We can't wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Karoo View Cottages. the cottage had a spacious room with a comfortable double bed, a single bed, and a seating area with a cozy couch. the kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the breakfast cereal, fresh milk, tea, coffee. the private covered patio was a great spot for meals, and we enjoyed the communal braai area and plunge pool in the beautiful gardens. the attention to detail and comfort in the room was fantastic, from the aircon and fan to the good quality linen. the rural setting and stunning views were a highlight, and the walks with the friendly dogs were a lot of fun. the on-site pub served delicious meals, and the owners were incredibly helpful, providing great suggestions for sightseeing trips.

The open plan layout with the beds in the living space gave it a unique and modern feel. The fully equipped kitchen was a bonus too, as I could easily cook my own meals. And let's not forget the balcony, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the stunning views.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the tumble dryer in the double room. But hey, that's just my preference and others might find it useful.

I absolutely loved the charming and cozy decor of the cottage. The attention to detail was impeccable, making me feel right at home. The common areas were also beautifully designed, with comfortable seating areas that were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be easily accessible, with well-maintained pathways and no stairs to navigate.

The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is to have a staff member available on-site at all times. It would have been helpful to have someone readily available to assist with any questions or concerns that may arise.

Hiking, fishing, golf, tennis. In-room breakfast, massages, jacuzzi. Coming back for Easter. No smoking, 24hr reception, pets allowed.

I chose Karoo View Cottages specifically because of its excellent location near the Greg Kerr Art Gallery. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to pick herbs and vegetables from the property's organic tunnel. It was such a unique and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the tour/ticket assistance and outdoor barbecue area were fantastic amenities that added to my overall stay.

Cottage #4, which we were offered, was located quite far from the reception area, resulting in a poor wifi signal. However, this issue was easily resolved by stepping out into the yard or staying in a cottage nearer to the reception.

The attention to detail was incredible, from the Boma area to the pool, which provided an alternative dining experience when the wind picked up. The location and views were also fantastic, allowing me to fully appreciate the majestic Karoo. The hotel was also a great base for exploring the surrounding area of Prince Albert and beyond. The staff were extremely helpful, providing great recommendations for restaurants and assisting with any queries or requests. They even stocked the fridge with juices, milk, and proper coffee, which was a lovely touch.
